Would you like to help but can‘t commit to a three week trip to New Orleans? Or are you going on the trip but would still like to do more? If you answered "yes" to either question, join an Action Team and help build awareness of what's going on in New Orleans.
Community Partnership: The Community Partnership Action Team is responsible for contacting organizations and determine lodging and meals for the service trip.
Community/Campus Relations: The Community/Campus Relations team is in charge of maintaining partnerships with other on-campus and community organizations that do Katrina related work.
Education: The main role of the Education Action Team is to design and plan possible education modules during the course of the project, however, it shall also be the team's responsibility to create a list of "next steps" for the future.
Communications: Recruiting volunteers for the service trip falls under the responsibility of the Communications Action Team. They also help publicize training events and educational events for participants.
Resource Development: Resource Development is accountable for raising funds to offset costs for the service trip through fundraisers, grant writing, and soliciting in-kind donations. In addition, Resource Development is responsible for budgeting and finances.
